TREX COMPOSITE

Trex is a leading composite decking brand made from 95% recycled materials. It’s built to handle Texas conditions with resistance to fading, staining, scratching, and mold. It won’t warp, crack, or splinter like wood, and Select lines even offer cooler surfaces and fire-resistant ratings.

Key Features

LONG LIFESPAN

Trex boards are engineered to last for decades with minimal upkeep.

MULTIPLE DESIGNS

Multiple collections with different colors, grain patterns, and price points — from budget‑friendly to premium.

CLEAN, MODERN SURFACE

Hidden fasteners provide a sleek, screw-free look.

WARRANTIED

Often 25 years or more depending on the product line.

LOW MAINTENANCE

Trex never needs staining, painting, or sealing. A simple wash keeps it looking good.

GREENER CHOICE

Because it's made from up to 95% recycled materials, it reduce landfill waste and limits the need for harvesting new timber.

OTHER COMPOSITES & PVC

While Trex is our go-to, we also build with other composites and PVC decking. Composite blends wood fibers with recycled plastic for a natural look at a lower cost, while PVC is fully synthetic for maximum moisture resistance and longevity. TimberTech is a leading name in both, known for quality, strong warranties, and a premium wood-like appearance.

POOL PERFECT

Staying cool even under the sun and offering strong slip resistance, PVC is ideal for wet, high‑traffic areas like pools.

Key Features

HASSLE-FREE CARE

Because composite and PVC boards don’t need annual staining or sealing, you save time and money over the life of the deck.

BUILT GREEN

Composite and PVC decking offer an eco-friendlier alternative to traditional wood, since they help minimize waste and deforestation.

LASTS FOR YEARS

TimberTech composites last 25–30+ years, while its high‑end PVC boards can last up to 50 years or more!

PEACE-OF-MIND WARRANTY

TimberTech Composites: 25–30+ years

TimberTech PVC: 50+ years

HARDWOODS

Hardwoods species include ipe, mahogany, teak, and redwood, all of which are naturally resistant to decay and insects. They’re dense and durable but require oiling to maintain color.  It’s a premium option, but the payoff is durability, aesthetics, and longevity that stand out in real‑world use.

TIMELESS BEAUTY

Hardwood offers an appearance that synthetic materials can’t fully replicate. Many even age into an attractive silver‑gray patina if left untreated.

Key Features

HEAVY-DUTY

Extremely dense and resilient, with natural oils that resist rot and moisture better than softwoods. Their strength helps prevent warping and splitting.

ECO-FRIENDLY

Responsibly sourced hardwoods offer sustainability through longevity. Their durability lowers long-term material consumption.

ENDURING STRENGTH

Built for the long haul, premium hardwoods can last decades—sometimes close to 100 years.

OPTIONAL MAINTENCE

If you prefer the natural, silver‑gray weathered look, maintenance can be minimal.

SOFTWOODS - CEDAR

Softwoods like pine, spruce, fir, and cedar are lighter and faster-growing, with cedar being our top recommendation. Naturally beautiful and chemical-free, cedar offers a greener option with solid durability and stability—making it a popular choice among homeowners.

IMG_0726.jpg

NATURAL RESISTANCE

Its natural oils fight decay without chemicals, creating a more natural look than treated pine.

Key Features

BUILDER-FRIENDLY

Easy to cut and fasten, it’s gentler on tools and speeds up installation.

AGES WELL

Left unfinished, cedar also weathers into a silver‑gray patina that many homeowners love.

COST ADVANTAGE

Premium quality at a more affordable price than many hardwoods or composites.

PRESSURE-TREATED WOOD

Pressure-treated lumber (PT) is often chosen because of its affordability, but we do not recommend this type of decking. For flexibility, we can make exceptions to working with PT, but in order to continue to our build decks with the utmost integrity, it is again not recommended.

WARPS IN TEXAS CLIMATE

Prone to warping and needs ongoing sealing to prevent cracking and wear.

FRAME-ONLY USE

Most effective when used for framing instead of the deck surface. It delivers reliable support without the maintenance concerns above.
